Hello everyone!I'm terribly sorry for the radio silence around here this last month. I've been really busy with work and things. I haven't actually touched my sewing machine for over a month, but I hope this will change soon. I have a couple of makes I want to share with you, but for now this is what went by last week. It's been all about graduation, taking my interior design degree and Christmas coming.

Wish you all a lovely and creative new week!
I don't really know if this outfit says " I got dressed this morning" or " I jumped right out of bed and run out the door". So the line between normal - pajama clothes is really close with this one. These are my Anima pants from Papercut patterns. It's my third make of them and I have to say I really love this pattern. I cut a straight size Small with no alteration and used a weird stretchy fabric I had in my stash. For the waistband I used the wrong side of the same fabric. I'm contemplating whether to add ankle cuffs or not. What do you think? I can't get over how comfortable these pants are!
For the top I used the Plantain t-shirt pattern from Deer & Doe and graded up to a size 44 for a more slouchy look. I love the scoop neck in this one! I serged everything except the hems. A really quick and instant gratification make!
I find that styling track pants is quite difficult! What's your take on them? What do you pair track pants with?

Guys I think a love affair is born! After my suede Charlotte and Mandy combo, here comes the Charlotte and Nettie affair!
This is actually my first Charlotte skirt from By Hand London. I really love this pattern! I think it is so flattering and it comes together really smoothly. With the endless fabric options you can have for this pattern, the possibilities are really endless. I've already made three of them in different fabrics and love all of them. For this one I cut a 10/14 size with no alterations except shortening the hem . I used this fabric I had in my stash, but I don't really know what kind of fabric this is.
For the top I used the Nettie pattern by Closet Case patterns. I opted for the scoop front/high back, long-sleeved crop top option.I cut a size 8 at the bust, grading to a size 10 at the waist/hips. I used a sweater knit I had in my stash. No alterations here whatsoever!
Do you have any pattern combos favorites?

I have a sewing routine. Everytime I finish a garment I press it and then I hang it on my clothes rack. It's my favorite part! From that moment, every time I get dressed I look at my latest edition and a little satisfaction smile is created.
How about you? Do you have a sewing routine? What on your sewing routine gives you a little satisfaction smile?

This is the kind of outfit I'm wearing on a "running-errands" or "working in front of the computer for several hours" kind of day. Relaxed and really comfortable! The top is the-quickly becoming my favorite one- Mandy Boat Tee from Tessuti patterns and the leggings are my all time favorite Virginia leggings from Megan Nielsen. As always I cut an M size and used the softest midnight blue stretch velvet I ever touched. For the top I used a white jersey I had in my stash. I sewed both on my serger and they came together in less than 2 hours!
So what do you prefer wearing on a daily basis?

So Autumn is sort of finally here, meaning you can get out with wearing a light long-sleeved top in the morning and you definitely need a light jacket in the night! When planning my fall wardrobe I realised a big gap in the skirts department. Enter the Charlotte skirt from By Hand London. These girls have some serious style! I love all of their patterns and the way they style and wear them. But the version that sold me this pattern was actually this one from Hyer Handmade. When I saw Elizabeth's versions of the Charlotte skirt I knew I had to make a mini one!
This is actually my third version of the pattern and the one I love the most. I will document my other versions soon! My first thought when I saw the pattern was a suede skirt! I had this camel colored suede fabric in my stash for a while now and I knew it would make a perfect Charlotte. I cut a size 10/14 with no alterations except shortening it. The drafting, as well as the instructions are amazing. Really clear and a perfect, quick make, even for beginners. Once you start making them, you really can't stop!
For the top I used the Mandy boat tee pattern from Tessuti patterns. I really love this pattern! The fit is relaxed and comfortable and with only 3 pattern pieces it comes together in less that 1 hour! I've been making this tops like crazy lately! I used a beautiful, soft black bamboo jersey for this one and lately it's all I want to wear!
And with this make, let the fall sewing begin! What are you starting your fall sewing with?

How was your week?
It's all about fall sewing plans around here lately! I'm already in the process of planning and sewing my fall wardrobe. The things that I'm sewing are not necessarily fall garments, but garments I believe will get a lot of wear all year around. With the new serger in my hands, I'm all about proper sewing and I take the needed time to finish my garments properly and check that everything looks polished and professional.
As the season changes, I'm thinking a lot about my wardrobe, style and choices. I didn't had a chance to follow The Wardrobe Architect by Coletterie last spring, but I'm reading all about it now. I'll share my results and progress with you, as well as my sewing adventures.
How about you? Any sewing plans for this fall? Does the change of season, makes you evaluate things as well?
Hello everyone! It's been a while I shared a make here, although I'm sewing quite a lot these past few weeks. This is because I'm not photographing as much as I'm sewing, but hopefully this will change!
I'm here to share a great dress with you. This is the Senna dress by Lindsay Woodward patterns. When Lindsay was in the hunt for pattern testers for her new pattern I immediately took the opportunity. I had already seen previews of the pattern in Lindsay's blog and I really liked it! The thing I love about this pattern is that it's really versatile. It is a dress, a crop top and a skirt pattern all in one, leading to endless possibilities. The pattern features a loose kimono-sleeve bodice with blouson waistline and a ruched pencil skirt. The neckline comes with scoop and crew neck options.
I opted for a classic look, a little black dress, that's more suitable for everyday. I used a soft medium weight jersey, I cut a size 8 with no alterations and went for the scoop neck dress variation. Lindsay's done a wonderful job making this pattern. The fit is great and the instructions really clear. I had some problems with the ruching, because in the pattern testers copy, Lindsay suggested using elastic thread which didn't really made much difference. Don't worry though, the final copy suggests using a 1/4"(6mm) elastic for the ruching, which solves the problem.
I love the fit of the dress and how comfortable it is for everyday wear. I really enjoyed making this and I'm definitely planning to sew many more variations!
*Disclaimer about all the pattern testing talk that's going around: I received this pattern for free to test, but all opinions are my own. I sent feedback on the draft to Lindsay, which was incorporated into the final pattern. I was not paid to test this pattern, and was given a free copy of the final pattern as compensation.*
I can't describe how happy I am! Finally I have a serger! This serger was actually a gift from my grandparents almost a year before, but it never worked correctly. So I finally decided to have it properly fixed. Now I'm obsessed!
If anyone is interested, this is the Singer Ultralock 14SH654, a 3 . 4 ovelock machine with differential feed. I can't wait to sew more things with it!
Hello everybody! I can't believe today my blog becomes 2 years! I remember like it was yesterday the day I decided to make this blog. It's been a wonderful experience until now! The sewing community is an amazing community to be a part of and I'm so happy I took the decision to open my own blog.
Here's to many more sewing years!

I'm currently in the process of planning my fall wardrobe and plain tees are definitely in my plans. For patterns, I'm thinking Briar, Plantain and maybe SJ Tee?
What do you think of the plain tee? Do you have any pattern recommendation?
Kimono: self-made/ Top: Tally Weijl/ Shorts: Zara
So by now everyone who doesn't live under a rock is aware of the kimono craziness that's been going around for a while. Countless tutorials going around the web, like this, this and this and of course lots of jaw-dropping makes like this, this and this.
I bought this lovely, tie-dye looking, fabric with my mum a while back and after seeing all these amazing makes I suggested it would make a beautiful kimono for her. I used this pattern from SewCaroline. It's a one size pattern, very easy to put together and on top of all it's free! This came together in less than 2 hours, printing and all. I french seamed everthing and used this beautiful lace trim that I found in a local store.
My mum really likes the outcome and I'm kind of jealous that I didn't bought more of this fabric.
So how about you? Have you catch the kimono fever?

Hello everybody! It's been a while, but you know how summer is! After a very stressful winter, I'm now enjoying summer in my hometown with family and friends. I wanted to take a break from everything and spent these days relaxing. I haven't been doing lots of sewing either to be honest. I have some unblogged garments I want to share still, but it's really all about the sea and chilling these days.
I've been meaning to share these shorts for a while now. You already know about the craziness around Papercut patterns's Anima pattern. And I couldn't be out of it. From the moment of its release I knew I had to have this pattern. Summer is all about comfyness and what is more comfy than a pair of jersey trousers? This is actually my second pair but I have to photograph my first pair immediately as well. I found this fabric on one of these "you are fabric shopping for a totally different project, but when you see a fabric you like you have to have it" moment. And when I saw the Anima pattern I knew it would make a perfect pair of summer shorts!
Papercut patterns released their new patterns available as PDF as well as printed patterns, which I couldn't be happier about. I personally love the instantness of PDF patterns. For this pair I cut a size S with no alteration, except adding 2cm to the length of the elastic and I think the fit turned out great! The pattern is really amazing. You have three length options and a cuff or no cuff hem option. The instructions are really clear and easy to follow and it really comes together easily and quite quick. I suggest using a soft elastic on the waist for maximum comfyness.
This is actually one of my most worn pair of shorts this summer! What is your most worn pair of shorts this summer?
Hello guys! I hope you're well and you're enjoying your summer. The temperatures here in Greece are sky high at the moment and I haven't had the time to go swimming yet! But let's hope this will change soon. These past couple of months had been really busy. Too much uni and work stuff going on, but thankfully I'm over with most of that now and I'm ready to enjoy some relaxing summer time soon.
Last week I took a 4-day vacation to Bergamo, Italy. The trip was actually a gift and I couldn't be more thankful! Unfortunately I spent the last two days inside the hotel room with a horrible eye infection. I'm really sad this happened and I couldn't enjoy my vacation as I wanted. But the first two days we had a beautiful time exploring the city of Bergamo and the old city, Citta' Alta. I was amazed by the landscapes and the architecture of the place. These are some of the photos we took whilst there.
Do you have any plans for vacations this summer?
