Leopard Anima shorts

Hello everybody! It's been a while, but you know how summer is! After a very stressful winter, I'm now enjoying summer in my hometown with family and friends. I wanted to take a break from everything and spent these days relaxing. I haven't been doing lots of sewing either to be honest. I have some unblogged garments I want to share still, but it's really all about the sea and chilling these days.

I've been meaning to share these shorts for a while now. You already know about the craziness around Papercut patterns's Anima pattern. And I couldn't be out of it. From the moment of its release I knew I had to have this pattern. Summer is all about comfyness and what is more comfy than a pair of jersey trousers? This is actually my second pair but I have to photograph my first pair immediately as well. I found this fabric on one of these "you are fabric shopping for a totally different project, but when you see a fabric you like you have to have it" moment. And when I saw the Anima pattern I knew it would make a perfect pair of summer shorts!

Papercut patterns released their new patterns available as PDF as well as printed patterns, which I couldn't be happier about. I personally love the instantness of PDF patterns. For this pair I cut a size S with no alteration, except adding 2cm to the length of the elastic and I think the fit turned out great! The pattern is really amazing. You have three length options and a cuff or no cuff hem option. The instructions are really clear and easy to follow and it really comes together easily and quite quick. I suggest using a soft elastic on the waist for maximum comfyness.

This is actually one of my most worn pair of shorts this summer! What is your most worn pair of shorts this summer?

  1. My most worn pair of shorts this summer are my polka dot, high-waisted numbers. Can't get enough of them!

    Great print on these shorts!
