//THE WARDROBE PROJECT//

So I finally finished my Banksia top and I'm very satisfied with the final result.When started planning this project I had a very specific idea in my mind.I wanted a fabric with a kind of preppy print and a pointed collar that would break the sweetness of the print and creating a contrasting effect.I was searching for the right fabric,but nothing seemed to do.And then I spotted this scarf at Bershka that was big enough for the pattern.
But I have to confess that wasn't the best idea!The fabric was a nightmare to work with,very slippery and once I sewed a stitch,there was never a turn back,because of the holes that were left on the fabric whenever I tried to unpick a seam.But in the end I'm really happy I managed to finish a wearable garment!For the collar I used faux leather and I changed the shape of the original(a peter pan collar) to a pointed one.

Don't you just love it when a garment you have made is actually one of the most worn pieces in your wardrobe?That's my case with this skirt.It is the same skirt as my grey jersey maxi skirt and I love how easy and quick it was to put together!Still is one of the most worn garments in my wardrobe and it slowly makes its way from my summer to my fall wardrobe!

This is the first pair of trousers I made using the DIY Couture book.I am so happy with how they turned out!I still can't believe I didn't use a pattern for them.They are actually based on a pair of jeans I own.They are high-waisted with an elastic waistband and two pleats in each side.The elastic waistband makes them really comfortable and easy to wear!The fabric i think is some kind of cotton blend and it's really soft and easy to work with.I also really love their color.
