Hello everybody! As you may already know this year I'm participating in Me Made May'14.One thing I learned from this, is that my sewing is more on the practical side. Of course I love fancy skirt and dresses, but I prefer to be able to wear my handmade garments on a daily basis, and since I'm more of a jeans and tee type of gal I love sewing garments like this.
Enter Tessuti's Mandy Boat Tee. A free, one-size slouchy tee pattern. I'm seriously in love with this pattern. Very easy to make and perfect for everyday wear. I love the fit and the endless possibilities this provides! I made mine in a black and blue striped knit that drapes beautifully. The pattern took about 1.5 m and come together in just a couple of hours! Instant gratification project or what?

What's your sewing type? Are you more on the fancy or practical side?

Hello everyone! Life is really hectic and busy right now, but I try to squeeze in a little bit time for sewing in order to keep sane! I have a pile of projects that need to be photographed, but I found these photos I took a while back as I was searching my computer.
This is my first Hemlock tee. I believe you already know about this pattern. It's a one-size, free pattern from Grainline studio patterns. I believe every sewing blog has a Hemlock make by now. It's one of those quick, satisfying and rewarding makes, we all need in our sewing lives! The only modification I made was shortening the hem, because I didn't like where it hit me.
Hemlock is perfect for everyday wear, especially in this lovely spring weather and it's such a quick project, you can spice up your wardrobe in no time!

Hello everyone and happy May! This post was supposed to go out tomorrow but for some unknown schedule problem with blogger it didn't, so hopefully it's not too late!

I was thinking a lot about whether I should or shouldn't participate in this year's Me-Made-May challenge. I'm not really consistent when it comes to documenting outfits and I have no idea if my self-made wardrobe is sufficient enough! But against all these I decided to participated. so here is my pledge:

'I, TheWardrobeProject, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May '14. I endeavour to wear as many self-made garments I can each day for the duration of May 2014'

As you may noticed I didn't commit to a certain amount of days, simply because for me this is a personal challenge to wear my handmade garments more and an opportunity to spot the gaps in my me-made wardrobe.

I'll probably document my progress weekly, but we'll see how this goes! So let's begin!
