I just love a total black outfit! So simple and yet so stylish! It never fails to give attitude to any outfit!
Merry Christmas everyone! This year time flew by really fast!I literary run until the last minute to finish and wrap all my Christmas gifts. This Christmas my gifts were mostly handmade and among others I made 2 knitted scarves,2 knitted snoods, one top and a necklace!
I had an early Christmas celebration and gift exchanging with my friends last Thursday, before we all headed back to our hometowns.Yesterday I cooked dinner for my family and friends(really proud of my dessert!-chocolate cups(made with balloons) filled with white chocolate mousse-followed this recipe) and exchanged gifts!I really love each and every one of my presents this year and I'm really grateful for my awesome friends and family!Today I spend the day relaxing by the fire with my family, enjoying coffee and chatting with friends!I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas day!

It seems that tulle is everywhere this time of year and why not, since it makes the perfect holiday outfit!I went fabric shopping yesterday and I couldn't resist buying some tulle myself!I'm thinking of making a tulle skirt to wear this Christmas after seeing all these wonderful tulle outfits!
And of course talking about tulle,I couldn't not include THE famous tulle skirt, worn by Sarah Jessica Parker on Sex and the City!
Here are two awesome tutorials on how to make your own tulle skirt:

Unfortunately I failed to follow the 12 days of Christmas Cheer mostly because of the crazy amount of work I had for uni!I am though trying really hard to finish all my Christmas presents!I love giving handmade presents at Christmas and I try to make most of my presents every year! This year I decided I won't do much for Christmas decoration since I will be going home for Christmas, but I hope I'll find some time to bake some goodies and make my Christmas cards either this weekend or next week!Right know uni is kinda crazy,I have an overload of work that needs to be done and I can't wait for Christmas break to come,so I can find some time to sew again! But I thought it would be fun to share some ideas for Christmas party outfits!

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to make an advent calendar yesterday so I would join today with one of my favorite things about Christmas-the movies and the songs!Today i watched one of my all time favorite Christmas movies "Love Actually".I know that you are supposed to watch all the classic Christmas movies like Home Alone and White Christmas, but I really love this movie! It portrays all the different kinds of love in different situations and how each person handles love with his own way!If you haven't watched it,I strongly recommend you do!
As for the music I can't really decide about my favorite songs, because I find that I like to listen to different Christmas music in different situations! For example I really like listening to classic Christmas songs while I decorate the tree!Lately I've been listening this Christmas playlist on 8tracks.
How about you? What is your favorite Christmas movie? And will you join the 12 days of Christmas cheer?
Hi everyone! How was your week?Mine was a busy one with lots of homework and late nights, hence the lack of posts these days!Today was the final presentation for one of the projects I have,so at least that's a big relief!I would love to spend the weekend just relaxing under a blanket like this with a hot cup of coffee and a good book!
What about you?How was your week?Any exciting plans for the weekend?

I had really fun shooting these photos with Despina serving both as a model and an amazing makeup artist-who's thinking about starting her own beauty blog soon.At one point we were laughing so much that we ended up with more blurry photos than we know what to do and we even shouted "That's a wrap everybody" at the end in the true spirit of an "America's Next Top Model" moment!
With the temperature dropping these days I'm all about outwear and new ways to spice it up.I find capes really interesting pieces that add an extra level of style to any outfit.Last year I used this pattern from Fitzpatterns to make a cape as a Christmas present for my mum and I really liked the outcome. So this year I think I'm gonna try to make one for myself.
These are some patterns and tutorials on making your own cape:
Lindsey pattern from Burdastyle
How to turn a jacket into a cape from Schwurlie
How to make a cloak from DIY Couture
DIY transparent rain coat from A Pair & a Spare
Cape coat pattern from A Matter Of Style
What are your thoughts about capes?
